The Page Bond Gallery, first established in 1999 as the New Gallery in Nantucket, Massachusetts, relocated to Richmond, Virginia in 2001. Featuring contemporary art in a wide variety of media and disciplines including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and ceramics, the gallery acts as a showcase for the work of emerging as well as established artists with local, national, and international reputations.

The Richmond art scene, anchored by Virginia Commonwealth University s School of the Arts, the top public Art School in the nation according to a 2008 article in US News and World Report, is an especially vibrant and lively one. Its numerous galleries, artist spaces, and museums provide a supportive atmosphere for the development and exhibition of innovative contemporary art from sculpture and painting, to video and installations.
